Saturday, August 21- Fitzpatrick Mountain
8 km of beautiful views and steep climbs
Elevation: 505 ft
8km-I think. I will confirm prior to the retreat.
Estimated hiking time-4 -4 1/2 hours
Our pace is not a race and we will take time to savor views, snap pictures and truly enjoy our surroundings.
Due to Covid19 we will only be accepting registrants from the Atlantic Bubble-should the Atlantic restrictions be reintroduced before the retreat, out of province registrants will receive their entire retreat fee back, including deposit
Check in is 3pm. We will meet briefly at 7:30 pm just to ‘meet and greet”. Then you are on your own until breakfast the next morning
This is our ‘base camp’ . These are shared accommodations with two queen beds in each room, Wi-Fi, & tv.
The hotel provides a breakfast. Depending on Covid19 , it could be grab and go or a sit down.
There is a pool and a hot tub, BUT again with Covid19, it may not be open ort it may not be safe to go in even f it is open.
Both Mornings we will grab our breakfast at the hotel-whenever you wish, but we will meet in the lobby at 9 to drive to the trail heads.
Saturday, we will have a packed lunch to eat on the trail, and supper together at 7 pm the Nook and Cranny in Truro
(There ‘s supposed to be live music on Saturday nights, FYI)
Free time on Saturday once we get back from our hike until we meet for supper. Remember to wear masks where it’s mandatory, and for your own safety.
Day two we will enjoy Brunch after the hike at Sugar Moon farm, after which we head for home

Activity Waiver and Release

The participant agrees to the following:
TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS that I have or may in the future have against the Retreat Provider”)AND TO RELEASE the Retreat Provider from any and all liability for any loss, damage, expense or injury, including death, that I may suffer or that my next of kin may suffer, as a result of my participation in this retreat, due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence, and further including the failure on the part of the Retreat Provider to safeguard or protect me from risks, dangers and hazards of participating in this retreat.
To hold harmless the Retreat Provider or any and all liability for any property damage, loss or personal injury to any third party resulting from my participation in this retreat.
.This Release Agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns and representatives, in the event of my death or incapacity.
The participant hereby declares that she is healthy and able to participate the physical challenge of the hikes and other activities that will take place during this retreat

A non refundable $50 dollar deposit is necessary to hold your spot
Retreat must be paid in full by July 15th 2021.
Participants who cancel between between July 1st and August 20 will receive 75% of their retreat fee, unless a replacement for that spot can be found-then you will receive 100%
Hello Weekend reserves the right to cancel the retreat in the event that we do not meet the retreat minimum or for reasons due to Covid (such as a increase in cases) In the event the retreat is cancelled all money paid will be fully refunded.

Prior to event weekends event staff & attendees will need to complete a COVID questionnaire, in addition to our liability waiver.
If attendees are experiencing any COVID symptoms, been out of the Atlantic bubble or been in contact with a Covid positive person, we ask that you stay home.
PLEASE NOTE: Event staff will be monitoring state & federal COVID guidelines on an ongoing basis. Our protocols may change as the events get closer to be compliant with current regulations and guidelines.
We have 10 rooms with 2 double beds each. While it would be nice to have a roommate that is in your bubble, that is not always possible.
The Best Western in Truro does have a few king single rooms- if this is what you would prefer, please contact them to book a room and I will subtract it from your retreat fee
Face coverings required when physical distancing cannot be maintained
Sanitizer will be available on site and masks for those who forgot to bring them.
Transportation to the hotel and trail heads are the participants responsibility. There is lots parking at the Rogart Trail head. I’m checking with the hotel to see if we can leave cars there on Sunday for anyone who wants to share a drive to the trail .I will up date is soon as I can.
Sorry. The retreat cost includes shared rooms-2 queen sized beds . There my be availability for the hotel to offer private rooms.
